I still remember my walks in Capucins, my feet in the mauve-gray sand, my head turned upside down to get a good look at the stars shining around me. Wrapped up in the Milky Way, I basked in the light of constellations I couldn't name, but whose mere presence was enough to fill me with wonder.
To see the Milky Way from the sea, kayak on the high seas and take a guided trip under the full moon to see the bioluminescence and phytoplankton!

The Haute-Gaspésie region, including Cap-Chat and Les Capucins, is ideal for astronomical observation thanks to its clear night skies. Camping des Capucins offers a breathtaking view of the sky, as there is little light pollution in the region. Here are just a few of the wonders you can observe:
- Stars and constellations: dark skies offer exceptional views of the constellations and the Milky Way.
- Planets: Saturn, Jupiter and their many moons are often visible
- Nebulae and star clusters: including the Orion Nebula and the Hercules Cluster.
